Q1: Where does Mayday rank among Ryan Reynolds action comedies?
A1: Mayday lands in the upper-middle tier of his action filmography. It lacks the groundbreaking cultural impact of Deadpool or the high-concept charm of Free Guy, but its practical stunt work and Kenneth Branagh's co-lead dynamic make it vastly superior to algorithm-driven titles like Red Notice.
Q2: What is Ryan Reynolds' highest-rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes?
A2: His highest-rated dramatic lead performance is the single-location thriller Buried (2010) at 87%, followed closely by the original Deadpool (2016) at 85% and Mississippi Grind (2015) at 91%.
Q3: Why do his critically panned older movies keep charting on Netflix?
A3: Reynolds possesses high brand recognition and immediate visual appeal on thumbnail carousels. When casual viewers browse catalogs, mid-tier action-thrillers like Self/less or Criminal offer familiar, low-friction entertainment, routinely pushing them into regional Top 10 lists years after theatrical release.
